Welcome to the Human Connections website. The focus of the site is human connections, how we relate to one another, and psychotherapy. We are all made up of stories that are complex, beautiful and amazingly intimate. Our stories are made up of our experiences with others as well as with ourselves. These stories create a template, shaping the events of our present relationships.

We have a long history of living in groups and communities. We have survived as a species because we are biologically oriented towards connection and cooperation. This includes our drives toward relationships, safety, and security. Humans who are loved

 
   
and responded to by caring others acquire a healthy sense of self that allows them to develop a capacity for intimacy with others.
